THE GENTLE WAY BOOKS

Welcome to the Benevolent Outcomes Blog, and welcome to everyone who subscribed in the past week.  This Blog is for people just discovering how to use a very simple, yet powerful and effective spiritual tool you can use every day the rest of your life.  It will lessen the stress and fear of life in general, and will make your life easier.  It’s so simple a lot of people say “It can’t be this easy,” but it is, because IT WORKS!  This reconnects you with your Guardian Angel, or higher power, or whatever your belief is.  You simply say, “I request a Most Benevolent Outcome for…….., thank you!”  When you read the stories below, sent from all over the world, we use the acronym MBO for Most Benevolent Outcomes, GA for Guardian Angel, and BP for Benevolent Prayers (what you ask for other people).

SPECIAL NOTICE:

This week I’ll relate how I used MBO’s on our trip to upstate New York, plus stories on the Perfect Car, PTSD, Ebay, and a Medical bill.

MBO’S ON TRIP

Continuing on last week’s stories of MBO’s for our vacation to Geneva, New York, I request Most Benevolent Outcomes (MBO’s) for everything—the drive to the airport, parking the car, and taking the shuttle to the airport.  I didn’t feel good about the place my friends chose this time.  It was a hotel close to the south entrance to the airport, but I would class it as a low two star hotel.  We had no problem with the shuttle to the airport, but on the return they did not pick us up immediately as promised.  Perhaps we will receive a refund as the MBO.  Then I requested a MBO for going through the Security Line and had no problems.  When we boarded the plane we were on the bulkhead behind first class.  Normally my wife doesn’t like those seats as you have to put everything up in the overhead, but United Airlines had opened the space to allow us to put items under the first class seats.

In Chicago we ate at a restaurant near the gate.  The plane was late arriving, and then later departing.  We had to gate-check our carryon roller bags, as this was a regional jet.  By the time we landed we were an hour late, and by the time we all claimed our bags and made our way down to the rental car counters it was 11:00 pm.  Here’s where a MBO I had requested for a rental car came in.  We had booked the Dollar Rent-a-Car “Special Special” for $182, which did not guarantee what size car.  We did a backup with Thrifty at $207 just in case.

Naturally both rental counters were closed.  I’m looking around, and a lady named Emma I had a long conversation with in the plane (I always request a MBO for someone interesting to talk to) motioned for us to come over to the Alamo/National Rental counter.  Emma, and her husband were headed to a class reunion at Cornell.  She’s into angels so we had a great talk and have corresponded since.  They had obtained a $25 per day for three days rate.  I quickly requested a MBO and we did even better for four days–$23 a day and the nice rental lady chose a Durango SUV (normally much more expensive) with 3 rows of seats and a backup camera.  Total cost was $121 including tax, as I recall, saving us at least $60 with a much higher class car.

We drove to the Microtel Hotel in Geneva, which proved to be the perfect location for where we went in the next four days.  We did a wine tour the next day with Bonnie as our guide in her limo (naturally requesting a MBO).  We couldn’t buy any wine, as they don’t know how to ship in refrigerated trucks, which allowed us to spend money elsewhere for dinners, and my wife and I bought jackets.

We subsequently visited the Curtis Flight Museum in Hammondsport, NY.  Curtis was a genius with motors and held the land speed record for a motorcycle at one time.  He also invented many of the airplanes the allies used in World War I—the Jenny’s.  They had a number of early airplanes on display.  When we were about to leave, the girls went to a restroom, so I started talking to the director of the museum.  When he found out we were from Texas, he took my friend Frank and I back to a closed portion of the museum and showed us a P-40 fighter from the WWII era that had crashed in the Florida swamps they were just starting to restore.  Really a mess!  If you know anyone with P-40 parts, they need some donations.  A good MBO day.

I could go on and on with MBO’s but a couple more come to mind.  We went to Elmira, NY to visit the Mark Twain exhibit at the Elmira College.  We were very disappointed in it, as they had only two small rooms dedicated to one of the greatest writers of the 19th Century.  They could do so much more with even a full gift shop plus displays of the characters of the books, etc.  Afterwards they gave us a puny map to drive to up a hill to where he once lived.  I was looking down and passed through a red light a half-block before another light.  Frank, who was navigator told me I had run the light and there was a policeman right there.  I quickly pulled over to the curb, said a quick MBO, and waited for the policeman.  It took him a minute to even turn on his red lights.  We showed him the map, which he called “chintzy,” gave us directions, and didn’t give me a ticket.  The house was a bust too, as you could not get very near it.

On Sunday we visited the lighthouse at Solas Point on Lake Ontario and then drove down to the bottom of Seneca Lake for the Captain Bill Boat Tour of the lake.  Naturally with a MBO request there were only six of us on the boat, which the captain found unusual, as it was a sunny day and they were expecting capacity.  He thought it really unusual when the other couple lived in Shreveport, Louisiana and were really from East Texas.

The rest of the trip was fairly uneventful, although we arrived back at the DFW airport 30 minutes late because the pilot had to avoid thunderstorms.

MBO FOR PERFECT CAR

I was asked to change the name so Kelly writes:  Just to update you, I have been requesting a MBO for the perfect car. I thought the car I had initially wanted was perfect for me since I struggled to get financing for it.

Then I requested MBO for financing – purely because my bank does not finance freelancers like me – after gathering information, they contacted me to tell I qualify for a quite a significant amount of money – so I bought a car that’s slightly less.  Thank you for teaching about MBOs and BPs.

For the next day, I am going to be requesting a MBO for paying the loan within the year.

MBO FOR EBAY BID ON PHONE

Siobhan writes:  In July, I am embarking on a 500+ cycle ride from Devon, UK to Northern Ireland. It’s a bit of a pilgrim really as it’s the 20th anniversary year of my Dad’s passing and I haven’t visited his grave in 19 years! I have also used this adventure to raise money for a local Hospice. I want to raise a minimum of £1 per mile. I have said MBO’s and my fund raising has gotten off to a good start. I would really appreciate the weight of the MBO world community and ask for all your readers to say a BP or MBO to reach my target.

Can I add, for my trip I have invested in a smartphone to replace the need of netbook, camera, maps, books, etc. I said an MBO at to help me choose and get the best price and best mobile provider. With all the information I decided that eBay was my best bet and the phone I chose was going between £ 70 and £110. There was lots on sale and felt quite patient. Well, I won the second phone I bid on and for the bargain price of £54!!! Awesome, I LOVE MBO’s.

Thank you so very much to you Tom and your Guides for creating this community and spreading such a wonderful life tool. Love and Light to all.

Let’s say this out loud:  “I ask any and all beings to assist Siobhan on her cycle ride and to raise even more money than she can hope for or expect for the hospice, thank you!”

MBO FOR MEDICAL BILL

Lee writes:  Went to the doctors in April for a check up. I said an MBO for a good report and small co-pay.  Because of an insurance change they said to wait and see what was paid and they would send a bill for the balance. I got the bill and was surprised that it was $153.47. My insurance usually pays more.

Today I went to get the results of my blood work ( excellent!) and to pay the bill. Before I left I said an MBO for great results and also a more manageable balance to pay. When I checked out, the receptionist said my balance was $34.67. I asked about the past balance and she said that was the past balance and today was no charge because my doctor checked that it was my yearly physical and I get one free visit per year! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! for MBO’s and always sharing your knowledge with us.

MBO’S FOR DANGEROUS PTSD SITUATION

Lucy writes:  The Blessings I have requested are still sifting through the angels’ wings, following an appalling demonstration of how not to handle a PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) situation.

Despite everything, the angels are doing their Great Things! In a 10 hour literal siege when (let’s call him “Pete”)was hunkered down in his basement apartment, with the SWAT team throwing everything they had at him (there are two windows still intact in the condo) in an excellent demonstration of mishandling, while I was begging, pleading and screaming at the ineptitude and the arrogance that “They knew how to deal with Pete and PTSD and they did not need any help from the army base located 5 miles away,” because “they” had  just attended a seminar.

I started the MBOs on the 28th when I realize he was having a flashback to a war zone, and Pete sent a text saying an MBO would be good.  I was 4 mid-western states away on a camping vacation when I first realized there was a big problem. And I kept them going.  I asked any and all beings that he be kept as safe as possible and the MBO be better than I could hope, dream or imagine.

From 4 p.m. to midnight on the 29th, I was kept on the scene and away from it. I could see and hear flash-bangs going off and hitting the windows and the glass breaking. The doors were forced open, garage door had a big hole and the window well grates which they could not remove had holes cut in them or were torn off. They kept asking if I was certain he was in there.

Around 6 p.m. the lady at the house where they had me standing in front brought me some blankets.  I went into her house and said, “I ask any and all beings to keep Pete safe and protected by by all.”

The lady of the house asked if she could do something for me. I told her that if she had a prayer circle she knew of, would she please call them and ask for prayer.  I believe she called four circles and then they expanded.

When they made me leave at midnight, I was upset. I walked into my friend’s house and announced, “All Right! Michael the Archangel, I’m asking you to aid, comfort and protect your soldier and bring a compassionate resolution to this thing as soon as possible. I ask that the Blessings from this far outweigh the damages. Hold Pete safely under your wings and let light filter through to those out there that are angry.  I expect great things”, etc.

We heard at 6 a.m. that they took him out of the mutilated, tear-gassed basement around 2 a.m.  He was taken to the hospital. We got dressed and rushed down to try to see him before the word was out for no visitors.  His head and face looked good, since he wore a gas mask, flack jacket and combat helmet. “Critical, but stable.”

The SWAT team, after their entrance, had broken everything in their way. They could not find Pete. They reacted like spoiled brats, breaking my kitchen (oak) chairs and (We have not been allowed in the house yet, so there’s more, if the glance I got before the door was boarded up was any indication.) Pete had evidently beat them at their game and they did not appreciate his abilities following the two decades in the military that enabled it.  He was three steps ahead of the SWAT team at every juncture. He taught survival.

Crime scene investigators were finally called in as my friend and I had insisted Pete was down there, somewhere.  We rushed back to the house, thanking the angels all the way. I wanted to get our dog. He had been with Ron.  I was told there was no dog. My friend and I began running the perimeter of the crime scene tape, calling for the dog.  She called everyone she could think of and I did also. Finally, (after I asked St. Francis of Assisi to take care of  our pet) a homicide detective decided maybe I was pretty sure the dog was in there and brought the team back to look.

The homicide detective had returned his team when he realized we were not just hollering “Brandy” because we wanted a drink.  They found Brandy under the futon Pete had been found on, all of which were under a very large (12 inch square) support beam and wallboard which had fallen on them when the roof collapsed, due to being cut or caused by the fire by the door on the ground floor.

Talk about PTSD! That little fella, Brandy, was all alone for close to eight hours, after being subjected to a firestorm of flash-bangs and at least one explosive devise for 10 hours. And he is petrified of loud noises. He is doing better and will continue to improve.

Doesn’t sound that good, does it? Blessings include, Pete is alive, albeit with a deep laceration on his leg and a bone broken in 6 places which will probably need to be pinned, and compression injuries; the insurance does not have a “no pay on police action clause;” Brandy is shaking less and alive; the next door neighbors have taken us in until we can decide what to do; the boys are earning funds pulling weeds, picking up other people’s trash, and hoping to capitalize on the photo op next door by charging those taking pictures!; a friend is assisting in dealing with the paperwork, and, perhaps best of all, Pete more than likely will have to enter a facility with actual experts in the treatment of PTSD; Pete’s Websters Unabridged Dictionary is dirty but un-burned; I was ready to move anyway; (and I may write a book on a “better way”).

The latest is the negotiator is strongly recommending the original charge of a level 5 felony (minor slap on the hand) menacing be the only charge he faces and the SWAT Team and police teams agree. The Angels are working on enabling the “Vet Court” to hear the case, which is a court for soldiers with Pete’s problem. And it keeps improving.

It can only get better from here!  Let’s all say a Benevolent Prayer out loud for Lucy.

Everyone say this, “I ask any and all beings to assist Lucy, Pete, the children, and Brandy and may the results be even better than we can hope for or expect, thank you!”

MBO’S FOR FLIGHTS & SEATS

I’ll begin with a story of my own.  As noted above we’re taking a short vacation.  We booked a flight from DFW to Chicago on United Airlines on an Airbus, connecting to a regional jet to Syracuse, returning the same way.  I always request MBO’s as far in advance as possible, and requested a MBO for the flights and whole trip.

United notified us that they had changed the flight at 1:00 pm to a regional jet, but there was nothing we could do about that, as we thought we had a connecting flight at 4:00 pm in Chicago and the next flight on a 737 at 2:14 pm would not arrive in time.

One week before the trip I just HAPPENED to check the flights, and United had changed the connecting flight to 6:00 pm and had not notified us.  I called our friends and Candy, who used to work for Delta, quickly got us changed to the later DFW flight.  One problem—there were only center seats left in the back of the plane.  Another problem, there were no seats showing available on the connecting flight for my wife and me.  So first I requested a MBO to get good seats, and then telephoned United and talked to a very nice United reservations agent by the name of Ms. Otas; she called the “Help desk” and was able to get two seats for my wife and I on the bulkhead just behind first class.  And then two more seats together close to the front of the regional jet.

I called Candy, but she wanted to wait to see if things might loosen up closer to the flight date.  On Tuesday morning I received a telephone call which I was not able to get to in time.  I checked the number, thinking it might be United calling with another change, but it wasn’t; but that prompted me to again check the flights.  Sure enough, they had upgraded some frequent fliers from economy to First Class, opening up two seats together.   I quickly called Candy and she grabbed them.

When you request MBO’s, you do need to listen to those “whispers in your ears,” as your own Guardian Angel is trying to assist you all the time.  I told everyone that it was actually my Guardian Angel Theo telephoning me to look at our reservations online!

I’m sure I’ll have more MBO stories next week from our trip.

MBO FOR PANIC ATTACK OVER EXAM

Kathy on Facebook writes:  I have a good MBO for your newsletter. I have to pass a number of difficult financial management type courses and exams to be certified for my new job. These courses are very difficult for me because my background is not in finance and I am not the best timed-test taker to begin with. In these courses, you have to achieve a specific score by the end of each day to be sure you aren’t cut from the course before its finished, and people are cut every day. So a few weeks ago I took one of these courses and by the third day, on the 4th exam that week, I had a serious panic attack. I have never experienced something like this before – I broke out in a sweat, my heart raced, and my mind froze. I couldn’t understand a word on the page.

I asked my guardian angel to help me calm down to pass the exam and make it through the end of the course, and I made it through that day but had to get a perfect score the next day to pass. And I was not sure I could get a perfect score, so I requested an MBO for a perfect score so I could pass….I got a perfect score!!! It was a miracle! And I was so relieved. And now I have 2 more courses to take and have been requesting MBOs to pass both of these on the first attempt, and to make sure I never have a panic attack again. Thank you so much Tom and Theo for teaching me about MBOs. Getting to know my Guardian Angel is transforming my life in such a positive way.

MBO’S FOR SAFETY ON HIGHWAY

Cynthia in the Dallas Metroplex writes:  Tom,  I have an incredible MBO story.  I was going up the North Dallas Tollway, just passing the Keller Springs entrance when out of the corner of my eye, I saw something jump at the cement wall.  I knew it was a kitten!  So I got off and circled around and going back on the tollway, it was indeed a kitten.  Now, it was just trying to stay as close to the cement as possible.  I circled about another 2 times and said prayers and MBO’s that I could get the kitten off the highway and that it was still alive.  I stopped my car on the feeder that goes into the tollway, ran up on the street and grabbed the kitten.  Ran back to my car and got back on the tollway, and I was able to go home with the kitten.  It was unhurt, but very scared, dehydrated and starving.  He’s about 8 weeks old and is very bonded to me, as I carried him around for the first day, since he had no energy.  He’s doing much better now since it’s been 3 days ago.  Thank god for the MBO’s that kept me and the kitten safe!!!

MBO FOR IMPORTANT PHONE CALL

Lee writes:  Tom, thank you for your newsletters every week and being so prompt on answering everyone’s questions. I have a story that, for me, really emphasizes that the universe gives you what you need when you need it.

I finally left a job that has been a source of problems for over a year.  My husband decided to take a trip before I needed to find another job. We left on May 13th with the intention of returning on May 25th. And then I would really have to find employment. I checked job postings daily but nothing! In the meantime my phone was acting up. On our way home on the 25th I was really having problems with the phone, even my MBO’s weren’t any help. I got a call on my phone from a former co-worker. The only call to come through that day! She asked if I would be interested in working with her at a new place. I accepted. That was the last call I got and the phone no longer worked and I had to replace it. The owner at the new job hired me at the end of the day to work there part time and extra hours if they are available. I didn’t need a job before the 25th and I needed a new phone. The angels made sure both were taken care of at the appropriate time!

Tom, I am so grateful to have found you and your MBO’s! They really do make your life easier! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

MBO FOR AIRPORT PICKUP

Lynn writes:  Hi Tom, Since I “found” your web site earlier this year I have enjoyed it so much and have really benefited from the MBO’s. Here is my best MBO story.

In March I flew out to Phoenix to be with my mom  her last 2 weeks of her life. I haven’t flown in years and had to do this trip by myself. I flew out of Minneapolis and my uncle (who flew out  earlier to say good-bye to his sister, my mom) was to pick me up. I  have never been to the Phoenix airport before and was slightly worried that I’d get lost and never see my family again, I’m not good at finding my way around by myself! I said a most benevolent outcome to be able to find my uncle quickly and easily after I arrived. We arrived and I marched out of the plane and down the hallway and called him to let him know that I was there and where I was. I hemmed and hawed about what to do then and finally went down the escalators and walked over to the exit  doors. Literally, as I stepped out of the doors my uncle drove up to the curb in front of me. The timing was PERFECTION! I can’t tell you how relieved I was! Too bad my uncle didn’t know about MBO’s. He was to fly home to Wisconsin that night but missed the exit for gas and ended up being just a little too late to catch his plane. A stressful end to a very stressful and sad trip.

I am a firm believer in Most Benevolent Outcomes. Thank you Tom!
